Industry Moves: Verizon Wireless; T-Mobile USA; Qik; Nexage

Verizon Wireless: Andrew Davies has been named Verizon’s new VP and CFO, effective November 15. He joined Vodafone in 2003, having most recently served as CFO of Vodafone Essar, the Indian subsidiary of Vodafone Group (NYSE: VOD). Davies replaces John Townsend, who has moved from Verizon Wireless to the post of regional CFO of Europe for Vodafone Group.

T-Mobile USA: Former Sony (NYSE: SNE) exec Torrie Dorrell was appointed VP of connected and family products and services for T-Mobile USA. Most recently he was SVP of global sales and marketing at Sony Online Entertainment, and previously held positions at NBCU’s Vivendi (EPA: VIV) Universal Games, Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG) and Disney.

Qik: Two new hires: Bob Rosin is EVP of business and corporate development and Allyson Campa is SVP of marketing. Rosin previously was SVP of marketing and business development and earlier, founder and president of Bang Networks. Campa, having been on the management team of four different startups, most recently worked at online gaming company SuperSecret as CMO.

Nexage: Bill Guild has been promoted to VP of product management, a role in which he’ll be responsible for partner development and product marketing. He began his career in mobile advertising at Third Screen Media, a company that was acquired by AOL (NYSE: AOL) in 2007.
