Social gaming giant Zynga has made yet another acquisition, buying up social game company Conduit Labs. Conduit Labs is behind several popular Facebook titles, including Music Pets and Super Dance. The startup’s initial project was a virtual world called Loudcrowd — which let users interact by dancing, flirting and suggesting tracks for a DJ’s playlist — but it pulled that product this summer, saying it wanted to concentrate on the Facebook games instead.

Zynga says that Conduit Labs will now become Zynga Boston, “a new game studio focused on new product development,” making it the company’s seventh studio. Many of its other studios have also come via acquisitions. Zynga Austin, for instance, was once Challenge Games, and Zynga’s operations in Beijing, emerged from its purchase of XPD Media. Conduit Labs CEO Nabeel Hyatt will head up the Boston studio.

No financial terms of the acquisition were disclosed. Conduit Labs had raised more than $8.5 million from investors including Charles River Ventures and Prism VentureWorks.
