What, another redesign? I know what you’re thinking. It’s only been a few months since we completely revamped the site — and now we’re changing it again? Well, this isn’t so much a redesign as a family reunion, and we thought we’d use this post to invite you to join the party as well as explain some of the new features we’re rolling out tonight.
Over the last few years, everyone here at camp GigaOM has been working tirelessly on writing great content for our respective sites, be it NewTeeVee, TheAppleBlog or Earth2Tech. We’re all been practicing the GigaOM point of view for a long time, providing you, our readers, with analysis and a unique point of view while surfacing the trends and technologies that matter in a timely fashion.
Now we want to take this one step further by making it easier to surface great stories about all the topics we’ve been working on. And the best way to do that was to bring all of our sites together under one roof, with one navigation across the board.
Here’s what this means for you:
- The new navigation offers you quick and easy access to content from all of the GigaOM sites, and we encourage you to check all of them out. There’s some great coverage on clean tech, Apple, cloud computing, mobile and other subjects, and now it’s easier than ever to jump back and forth between the sites.
- NewTeeVee remains NewTeeVee. We are still the same band of misfits editors that will bring you news and insights on this new world of video every day.
- You don’t need to update your bookmarks, but you’re more than welcome to add to them. Want to subscribe to our RSS feed, our e-mail newsletter, our Twitter stream or our Facebook group? Now is as good a time as any to do so.
We don’t expect any big technical issues tonight, but please let us know if something isn’t working as it should. Also, feel free to share your thoughts on our new navigation, and make sure to head over to GigaOM to read Om’s post about some of the driving factors behind this change as well. From now on, stories like these are just a click away.
