Industry Moves: Qualcomm; Scanbuy; SendMe; Zoran


Qualcomm: Rob Chandhok is now president of Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) Internet Services, a new role he’s adding to his existing responsibilities as president of Qualcomm Innovation Center. He will report to Steve Mollenkopf, EVP of Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies. Andrew Gilbert continues as EVP and president of Qualcomm Europe, reporting to President Steve Altman. The reorg enables Gilbert to focus on the European market.

Scanbuy: Mike Wehrs has assumed the roles of CEO and president, on an interim basis. He succeeds Jonathan Bulkeley, who had held the positions since 2006. Most recently, Wehrs was CEO and president of Mobile Marketing Association and earlier, chief evangelist and VP of industry affairs at Nuance Communications.

SendMe: John Witchel has been appointed CTO to oversee the company’s technology strategy and roadmap. He previously co-founded and served as CTO for person-to-person lending platform Prosper.

Zoran: Igor Chirashnya has joined as VP of mobile division applications, reporting to Mobile VP and GM Ohad Meitav. Most recently, Chirashnya founded and served as CEO of eMazeU.
