If your team needs to divide up a group of tasks between themselves, take a look at DivvyUs. It’s a very simple free web app that enables you to make a list of tasks that you can share with your team, who can then claim the tasks that they’d like to do.
No sign-up is required. Just head to the website, hit the “Click to start” button, give your project a title and start adding your tasks. By default, there are four boxes for you to put tasks into, but you can easily add more using the “Add Tasks” button. Once you’re happy with your list of tasks, hit “Create” and you’ll be given two URLs — one to share your DivvyUs list with your team, who can the “claim” the tasks via the web interface, and a private “admin” URL that you can use to edit the list.
In most work situations there will likely be a manager to assign tasks to people, but for those times where it’s not clear who should be doing what, or where everyone needs to pitch in — maybe you’re launching a website and there’s a bunch of small but important tasks to carry out, or you’re trying to organize a party or other function — DivvyUs is useful.
