Where to Watch The 2010 San Diego Comic-Con Online

Hate to break it to you, home-bound nerds, but there’s no official live stream for events at the San Diego Comic-Con. However, there are no shortage of intrepid websites that will be pushing out video after video from the convention this weekend, in an effort to capture the experience for those wary of long lines and body odor.

If your focus is on horror and other genre projects, is already pushing out video coverage, such as this look at Wednesday’s Preview Night. But if you’re looking for more info on video game projects being discussed there, Gamespot’s coverage is there for you.

If you’re just looking for generic movie coverage,‘s got an intrepid team (with admittedly poor-quality cameras) uploading frequent updates to YouTube (s GOOG).

And web series fans can look forward to Saturday’s Celebrate the Web event, featuring over a dozen genre web series and their creators, will be streamed live at the official site.

In addition, you should probably expect to see a snippet or two of this year’s convention included in the Ridley Scott-produced Life in a Day project — users are being asked to document their lives on Saturday, July 24. And Comic-Con always makes for great video.

This is really just a sampling of the coverage out there, though — anyone putting out video that you really enjoy? Let us know in the comments and we’ll update this post accordingly!

Disclosure: I did some freelance writing for FEARnet’s blog in December 2009 and January 2010.
