Calisolar Shines With $15M: VentureBeat reports that “Calisolar, maker of high-efficiency solar cells made out of scrap silicon, has raised a fresh $15 million to get it closer to its goal of producing more than 200-megawatts worth of solar materials.”

ECOtality Aims for 15K EV Chargers: Electric vehicle charging company ECOtality is expanding its network “in sixteen cities located in six states – Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Tennessee and Texas, as well as the District of Columbia. Overall, The EV Project will include the manufacture and installation of more than 15,000 chargers in residential and public locations throughout the United States.”

The Big Apple Gets an EV Charger Benjamin: The New York Times says “New York City has just unveiled the first of about 100 electric vehicle charging stations to be installed under a national program that aims to have nine metropolitan regions ready when automakers begin rolling out some electric vehicles later this year.”

Southwest Wind Grabs Up Deerpath: Small wind builder Southwest Windpower snapped up Deerpath Energy, a company that does site analysis and deployment of small wind for commercial and multi-unit buildings.

SunLink Acquires Blue Oak PV: PEHub reports, “SunLink Corp a provider of commercial photovoltaic mounting solutions, has acquired Blue Oak PV Products maker of solar combiner boxes and disconnecting combiner boxes. No financial terms were disclosed. SunLink has raised a small amount of venture capital from Clean Pacific Ventures and Angeleno Group.”
