Palm Officially Becomes Part Of HP

Palm’s days of wondering how it can raise enough money to design, much less build its next product, are over — it has officially become part of the largest technology company in the world, HP.

In a Palm blog post today, the company says that together the two will have the strength to build “everything from PCs, laptops, and printers to home electronics and enterprise systems promises an amazing roadmap of new tools for your mobile and web-connected future.” No details are being shared yet, but they promise big things that will be designed with their customers and enthusiasts in mind.

In April, HP (NYSE: HPQ) agreed to buy the mobile company for $1.2 billion, or roughly $5.70 a share, ending months of speculation about Palm
