Apple’s approval (or rejection) policies are making headlines again today after the company dumped the hot Pulse News Reader in response to a complaint from the New York Times. But Google may have more serious problems with its mobile developer community as a growing number of coders are complaining that their updates are disappearing from Android Market. Google has been “eerily silent” regarding the disappearing updates, one developer wrote, and another called that silence “unacceptable.” Google can afford to be unresponsive in light of Android’s rapid growth, but it could foster a lot of goodwill by showing developers some love and explaining what’s happening with the updates.
