Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) ad exec Robin Domeniconi is officially leaving the company and will return to the magazine world to take on the role of SVP, chief brand officer for Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S.’s Elle Group, which is comprised of the Elle, Elle Decor and ELLEgirl brands, the publisher announced. In her new post, Domeniconi will manage all aspects of the brands including content, advertising, digital platforms and brand development. She will start full-time on July 5. Interestingly enough, Microsoft, along with its MSN Wonderwall partners Berman Braun had recently started working with HFMUS on the formation of a new lifestyle site Glo. Domeniconi was considered instrumental in launching that site and working with HFMUS on ad partnerships.
HFMUS says that Domeniconi will continue working on Glo as part of her responsibilities at the Elle unit. One of Domeniconi’s first chores will be hiring an Elle VP, Brand Publisher sometime in the next few weeks.
