Yahoo Promotes Stata To CTO

Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) has made a second executive appointment to fill the seat left vacant by Ari Balogh, who quit in April. The company has promoted chief architect Raymie Stata to CTO, a position Balogh previously occupied. In a blog post announcing the move, Yahoo credits Stata with leading “transformative efforts to rewire Yahoo, moving from a set of vertical silos to a horizontal platform infrastructure.” Stata will report to Blake Irving, the chief product officer who Yahoo hired in the wake of Balogh’s departure. Balogh also held the post of EVP of products.
