Snapfinger Snaps Up $7 Million For Ordering Food By Mobile Phone

Snapfinger iPhone app lets you order and pay for food on the go

Snapfinger.com, which allows users to order and pay for meals at national chains such as California Pizza Kitchen, Outback Steakhouse, and Boston Market, as well as independent restaurants, has raised $7 million in a third round of funding.

The company will use the funds for sales and marketing as well as expanding further into mobile, including iPad development. The round was led by Norwest Venture Partners with additional commitments coming from individual investors. In total, the company has raised $11 million to date. Today, it has access to more than 28,000 restaurants in 1,600 cities and works over the web, and has applications for iPhone, Android and Palm.

Snapfinger.com is owned by Kudzu Interactive, an Atlanta-based company which is a profitable and grew revenues by 420 percent in 2009. The company said Josh Goldman and Jeff Crowe, two general partners at NVP, will join Kudzu Interactive
