Tony Blair Joins Khosla Ventures As An Advisor

Tony Blair is joining VC firm Khosla Ventures as a “senior advisor,” according to a report in the NYT. That puts the former British prime minister at a VC firm which has invested in a series of well-known digital media startups, including Slide, Tapulous, Hunch, YuMe, WideOrbit and AdReady.

Blair, however, is primarily being hired for his insights on the firm’s green investments, according to the NYT piece. That sounds similar to Al Gore’s involvement at VC firm Kleiner Perkins, which he joined two-and-a-half years ago in order to “guide investments that help combat global warming.”
