Today in Cloud

I spoke with OpSource CEO Treb Ryan last week about today’s OpSource Files announcement, and the company’s approach to enterprise-grade cloud computing continues to impress me. For example, its new storage service is built on NetApp, utilizes (although isn’t based on) Mezeo’s leading cloud-storage software, provides constant encryption and role-based permissions, and makes inbound data transfers free. The OpSource Cloud won’t likely catch on with the broad developer community as other clouds have, but it’s worth a look when security is a top priority (it’s catching on with VARs already).
