Bypass Windows Boot Manager Using iReboot

Those of you with dual-boot systems know that the process of loading another OS can get a little tedious, as it involves shutting down the computer, restarting it, then waiting for it to bring up the Windows Boot Manager before selecting the OS you want to load — and making sure you select it within the Boot Manager’s time limit. iReboot is a free utility for Windows that provides a taskbar menu that allows you select which OS you’d like to load. Next time you reboot, the OS will be loaded automatically, skipping the Boot Manager.

If you have multiple versions of Windows on one machine (perhaps you’re running XP, Vista and Windows 7) you can install iReboot onto each of them to make switching between them a snap. iReboot is not available for Linux, so while you can use it to switch from Windows to Linux, to switch back again you’ll still have to go through the Boot Manager.
