Today in Mobile

It’s been a fairly slow morning, so I suppose it’s time I mentioned the escalating soap opera between Apple and the tech blog Gizmodo. As you surely know, Gizmodo produced a huge scoop last week after it ponied up $5,000 to obtain what appeared to be a prototype of Apple’s next-generation iPhone that had been left in a California bar. Police raided a Gizmodo editor’s home over the weekend, seizing four computers and two servers, although it’s still not clear whether the investigation targets Gizmodo or whoever found the gadget and handed it over (or both). Regardless, the story has spread beyond the tech world into the mainstream media, so expect to hear plenty more about it as police continue their investigation this week.
