Lots of eyebrows were raised when longtime Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) exec Clare Hart, president of the Enterprise Media Group and head of Factiva, left the company in a reorg earlier this year. After a few months of rest, looks like she’s about to resurface. According to a report last week, she is going to take over as CEO of database marketing biggie Infogroup, which is in the process of being acquired by private equity firm CCMP Capital. Dow Jones former CEO Richard Zannino, who sold DJ to Murdoch and under whom Hart worked, is now a managing director at CCMP, and is the likely person who is pulling her into the new position. Her ascension to this new position is contingent of the Infogroup-CCMP deal going through; there is some Infogroup shareholder dissension about the deal. The decision to hire Hart came after Bill Fairfield, Infogroup’s current CEO, reportedly said he would retire if the company were taken private, the Omaha World Herald report said; Infogroup is based in Omaha.
