Here’s a hire that’s not as unusual as it looks… AOL (NYSE: AOL) is bringing media analyst Jeff Lindsay over from his perch at Sanford Bernstein to serve as VP, Strategy & Operations in David Eun’s group. Earlier this month, Eun defected from Google (NSDQ: GOOG) to join former colleague Tim Armstrong at AOL as president of AOL Media and Studios. For Lindsay, this is something of a return, since he was with the old AOL from 1998 to 2002 as executive director for corporate development, where he was charged with scouting out deals. He’ll be doing that again. In addition, Lindsay, who had been at Bernstein since 2006, will also be overseeing new product launches and evaluating how well AOL’s current offerings are performing.
