What if tablet computers don’t pack any 3G connectivity? That seems to be Cynergy’s reasoning for prototyping this new method for magazine distribution.
In Cynergy’s vision, consumers would stack up on new magazines by placing their Microsoft-powered tablet on a Microsoft Surface-powered table and hand-picking titles from the newsstand.
But this sounds way too much like the real experience of buying magazines. More likely – e-magazines, because they’re digital, will come over the air, not over the counter.
