    Bob: I believe the carrier element is to do with who might be putting their microsims in first–hence speculation over who might be carrying it first, and Russell’s own comment that “everyone and his dog” is trying to get it.

    the iPad is supposed to be unlocked internationally, in which case, any mobile operator offering a microsim can provide its own data plan. so who cares if somebody has a carrier deal or not?? Jobs said as much doing his keynote.
