A little more than a year after joining FiLife as president and general manger, Ezra Kucharz is leaving to become president of CBS (NYSE: CBS) Local Digital Media. FiLife is the personal finance joint venture between IAC (NSDQ: IACI) and Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) — and both credit Kucharz with turning around a site that had struggled since its 2008 launch. It had more than 4.4 million monthly uniques in December, according to *ComScore*, ranking third in personal finance. At CBS, Kucharz will work within the new local broadcasting business segment. He’ll be responsible for forming and executing local online strategy from the local assets and digital operations of TV (29 stations) and radio (36 news, sports and talk stations).
FiLife is promoting Adam Wiener to GM from executive editor and VP of content; no new president will be appointed. Also, Dominic Preuss is moving up to SVP-Product and Technology. Wiener joined FiLife last year from NBC Universal (NYSE: GE), where he had been COO of driverTV and SVP of search, commerce and business development for iVillage Properties. Kucharz, too is a vet of NBCU and iVillage, where he was COO. In between, he was EVP of North American online and global platforms for Oberon Media.
