Broadband Content Bits: SeeSaw Launch; Muzu.tv Deals; Samsung iPlayer

SeeSaw: The Arqiva-owned VOD service, based on the assets of Project Kangaroo, is now starting its invitation-only beta. The service was planned for launch this February. (via C21.net)

Muzu.TV: New syndication partners for the online music video sitethat include AOL (NYSE: AOL) (AOL Music, Bebo), Telegraph Media Group, and events company Mama Group. Muzu.TV also signed a deal with InSkin Media to develop new ad formats for the service. The European company, which serves 14 million videos per month in the UK, currently has global deals with independent labels and says it is in the process of “converting” regional deals with larger labels to cover the U.S. as well. Samsung/iPlayer: Samsung is building iPlayer software into its mobile phones: the latest being the Genio Slide, a smartphone aimed at the youth market. This builds on a wider strategy at the company, to build BBC iPlayer software into Internet-enabled TVs. Mobile accounted for under 10 percent of iPlayer traffic between July and November 2009, with the majority of that traffic going to Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch devices. (via IBTimes)
