Financial Publisher SourceMedia Promotes Doug Manoni To CEO In Exec Reorg

Doug Manoni, SourceMedia

SourceMedia, the publisher of financial dailies The Bond Buyer and American Banker, has promoted Doug Manoni to CEO as part of a small reorg at the top. Manoni has been with the company since Oct. 2008. He was previously EVP for the Banking Group & a managing director. Manoni is stepping in for James Malkin, who is out as of today, a company rep told paidContent. Source Media had no further comment on Malkin’s exit. Malkin had been with the company since 1989, when it was owned by Thomson Corp. and before it became known as SourceMedia.

Before Manoni joined SourceMedia, he created Wicks Business Information, which was sold in two separate transactions. Wicks’ Alternative Investment Group was sold to Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) for $85 million in 2004. Another part of Wicks was bought by Summit Business Media in 2007.

In addition to the changes in the CEO seat, SourceMedia also promoted Rich Antoneck to CFO from SVP of financial operations. Antoneck replaces Bill Johnston, who also is leaving the company. The SourceMedia rep did not provide any other information on Johnston’s departure either. Release
