Performance Marketer MediaTrust Acquires E-Mail Marketer Kenzei

Online ad firm MediaTrust has acquired e-mail marketer Kenzei. Terms weren’t disclosed. The New York-based MediaTrust plans to add Kenzai’s automated e-mail and mobile ad tools to its own. The Kenzai brand will not be going away. Also, Kenzai CEO Mike Stocker will stay on as VP of strategic development at MediaTrust and will continue to be based in San Francisco. MediaTrust specializes in cost-per-action campaigns. It expects those efforts to be buttressed by Kenzei’s “retargeting” abilities, which generally taps consumers who have started an online purchase process and but has left the items idle in their shopping cart.   1. David- thanks for the coverage! To clarify: the Kenzei products will be re-branded under the MediaTrust brand and called: MediaTrust Conversion Solutions. We feel strongly that Kenzei’s solutions complement our existing offering to deliver more value (conversions) for an advertiser’s traffic.
