Get Satisfaction, a startup that hosts online customer service communities, has raised $2.3 million in a funding round, we have confirmed with the company. With Get Satisfaction, anybody can set up a customer service forum in order to interact with others who have purchased products at the same business; companies can also pay to create their own forums where customers can ask questions and get them answered either by employees or fellow customers. All in all, Get Satisfaction says it currently hosts 25,000 “customer communities.”

The startup lists First Round Capital, O’Reilly Alphatech Ventures, and SoftTechVC, among others, as backers. The company isn’t providing information about this round, beyond saying that the cash “will allow us to keep growing and building on our success.”
