Steve Case kicks off 2010 as guest host on CNBC’s Squawk Box with a look back at the deal that defined the last 10 years in so many ways. Was the AOL-Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) merger the worst deal ever? Case still defends the concept but admits the execution was lacking: “I think I would have, in retrospect, looked smarter if I’d done the deal and walked away.”
Update: Case was joined later by Jerry Levin, who responsible for that execution — or lack thereof. We’ve added that video.
