Weekend Vid Picks: Your Year Remembered via Video

As the days of 2009 dwindle in number (and the deadline for my own end-of-the-year lists grows nearer), more people are using video to encapsulate the big events of the past 12 months.

Both the newly launched Gawker.tv and Videogum put together video compilations of the year’s most notable viral video finds. But because Gawker.tv is a square and doesn’t allow embedding, I’m only going to link to Videogum’s retrospective, which happens to contain some of my favorites of the year.

Meanwhile, the kids at Current’s Infomania went retrospective crazy, encapsulating the top viral videos, the year in Baracksploitation and Sarah Haskins’ lessons for 2009.

And for those who like celebrity news and sock puppets, Greg Benson of Mediocre Films has put together a Year in Review video just for you!

Looking back over the last year via these videos…well, let’s hear it for 2010, guys! We’ll knock that one out of the park!
