And, during a briefing at Google’s London HQ captured by Robert last week, Barra outlined the three themes underpinning his 200-strong team’s efforts: the evolution of mobile phones as computers, the near-permanent online connectivity of next-gen handsets and the remotely-based “cloud computing” services that Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and others can offer. “People are taking about altitude sensors, night vision sensors and thermal sensors — connecting them to the cloud means you have unlimited computing power to innovate on the app front.
