CBS Interactive (NYSE: CBS) has promoted Rob Gelick to the position of SVP and GM of CBS Mobile, which fills a gap after Cyriac Roeding, and then his replacement, Jeff Sellinger left the position over the past year.
Gelick joined CBS Interactive in 2008 and most recently served as VP of CBS Mobile. Prior to CBS, Gelick was a founding exec at Helio, the youth-oriented MVNO. Before Helio, Gelick served as the Director of Music for Motorola (NYSE: MOT), where he worked with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) (to bring iTunes to Motorola devices. Release.
Gelick takes over the reigns as CBS Mobile continues to be active in the space, launching applications for the iPhone, Android and Palm (NSDQ: PALM) for various TV shows, including Survivor, CBS News and CBS Sports, or even standalone events like March Madness.
