24ways, an advent calendar for web designers and developers, returns today for its fifth year. Every day until Dec. 24, a new article — many of them penned by web luminaries such as Jeffrey Zeldman, Eric Meyer and Peter-Paul Koch — will be published on the site, covering topics including CSS and JavaScript techniques, performance tricks and business development tips. Archives from each of the last four years are also available.
24ways is produced by UK-based developer Drew McLellan, who also created Perch, the lightweight CMS that I wrote about earlier this year. He deserves a large tip of the hat for his hard work in putting together this great resource year after year for no reward, other than some kudos from his fellow developers.
