Gameloft

Paris-based Gameloft (EPA: GFT), one of the world’s largest mobile-phone game company, said third-quarter sales jumped 14.9 percent to $44.2 million (30.1 million euros). In the year-ago period, the company recorded revenues of $37.1 million (25.3 million euros). Release.

The company did not report full results, including net income. However, it said revenues were up because of the huge success of Gameloft games on the iPhone and to the strong performance of Brew and Java games. Gameloft said when revenues are broken down regionally, Europe remains the largest market, and North America trails close behind, but that the biggest growth was coming from Asia and South America. Gameloft will report full-year sales Feb. 2.
