Retailers like Shilo Inns and Za Restaurant use Giftango’s platform to offer their customers virtual gift cards that can be bought online or in-store, then delivered and redeemed through email, SMS and smartphones. Portland-based Giftango was founded in 2005 by entrepreneur and former software developer David Nelsen.
