IngBoo Gets $800,000 For Organization Tool

Ingboo

IngBoo, a startup that makes it easy for users to track activity on various sites from one place via a free web tool, has raised $800,000 in seed funding. Amidzad Partners, Horizon Ventures and Sunbridge Partners all participated. With IngBoo, users select topics they’re interested in — like top stories from CBS (NYSE: CBS) Sports or a certain type of Craigslist post — and add them to their ‘IngBoo list,’ where they can track relevant updates from those sources. The concept is similar to the new Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) home page, which lets users preview content from almost any site on the web. One difference: The startup says it’s launching a publisher program, which will offer ad revenue to some publishers whose content is previewed on IngBoo. Release.
