– Eastenders online: The BBC soap opera will get an online spinoff in February to mark its 25th birthday. Eastenders:E20 will be a standalone drama series written by young screenwriters and will incorporate videoblogs and behind-the-scenes footage. From DTG.org.uk.
— Orange France pay TV: France Telecom’s Orange has blazed a trail in in the multiplatform TV/VOD space its native France and as of June this year, 400,000 of its 2.3 million “triple-play” customers — who take a TV, broadband and phone package — were paying for premium web TV services. — France piracy warnings: The French government finally passed its controversial anti-piracy law in September and it now says the first warnings as part of the three-strikes system will be delivered in early 2010. Via Dailystar.com.lb.
— Absolute Radio: The digital station formerly known as Virgin Radio is launching its own monthly listening metrics stats. On its blog, the company claims to have attracted 6.3 million live listening hours in September across Abslute and its Classic Rock and Xtreme sister stations.
