Icahn Quits Yahoo Board; Reiterates Support For Microsoft Search Deal


Investor Carl Icahn is resigning from the Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) board of directors, saying that the company does not need an “activist” on its board, MarketWatch reports. The news comes two months after Icahn cut his stake in the company in what he called a move to “balance his portfolio.” At the time, Icahn emphasized that he supported Yahoo’s ad deal with Microsoft and he reiterated that position in his letter of resignation to the Yahoo board Friday.
