Mobile game publisher Hands-On Mobile has reshuffled its top management, quietly replacing CEO David White with President Niccolo De Masi. No formal announcement has been made, but pocketgamer.biz reports that White left the business last week, and that De Masi is now listed on the company’s web site as CEO. Separately, there’s a rumor that Dan Kranzler, who founded the company in 2001, may take a more active role, reports Cabana Mobile. The company has yet to respond to requests seeking comment.
As of recently, the company has been focusing on games for Facebook and the iPhone and its developer network that helps small shops bring their games to a variety of platforms. In Dec., the San Francisco-based company laid off an undisclosed number of employees after spinning off several of its international divisions. More recently, it lost its high-profile ‘Guitar Hero’ license to its rival Glu Mobile (NSDQ: GLUU).
