Cool Vids: Google Wave Pulp Fiction and a Hockey Trick Shot

I love the smell of viral video in the morning. It’s not even 8 a.m. as I write this and already two pretty amazing videos are wending their way across the web.

First up: So maybe you’ve heard of this Google Wave thing. Perhaps you’ve seen friends tweet about their invites to this new way of communicating. But maybe you’re still in the dark about it, especially since you don’t have access to it. What the heck is a Google Wave and what does it do? To illustrate what Wave does, the folks at Whirled Interactive whipped up this pretty amazing mashup.

Google Wave Cinema: Pulp Fiction (NSFW language) uses dialog from the Quentin Tarantino’s seminal film to show exactly what the heck this email, IM and video tool does. Whirled Interactive did another demo using Good Will Hunting, but it’s not as good.

Elsewhere online, and having nothing to do with Google or technology, comes this amazing hockey trick shot from a 9-year-old (hat tip to VideoNuze). I don’t know anything about hockey, but I know what looks cool, and this shot is pucking amazing (apologies for the pun). Seriously, you’ll watch it a few times.
