The Nokia Booklet 3G has captured the attention of many, due to being Nokia’s first foray into the netbook/ notebook world. It is the very definition of a premium netbook, with the $299 subsidized price with a 2-year data contract with AT&T required. The Booklet will set you back $599 without that contract, and it is not known yet if the netbook is unlocked for use on other networks. Our old friend Tnkgrl got to spend some time with the Booklet 3G and was obviously impressed with the system. Check out her video to see just how small the Booklet 3G is compared to a MacBook Air and Sony VAIO P. I was less than thrilled to hear that the 1 GB of memory is soldered onto the motherboard of the Booklet 3G, thus eliminating the ability to increase it. Let’s hope Nokia ends up offering a 2 GB option, given it is running Windows 7.
