UPDATED: My recent research of the Beatles remastered CD catalog has my musical juices flowing. Maybe that’s why this T-Mobile news popped on my radar this morning. The carrier announced a myTouch 3G Fender limited edition handset — only 10,000 of the units will be sold. The handset has a guitar-inspired wood-grain finish, a 3.5mm headphone jack (yeah, yeah, yeah!) and is pre-loaded with audio and video clips by “iconic musicians” with a 16GB microSD card. No price, but availability should be soon, as this gig is slated for “this year.”
On a related front, T-Mo is updating its mobile broadband offerings as well. The webConnect USB Laptop Stick gains Mac support (yeah, yeah, yeah!) as well as a new data plan offering. $29.99 a month nets you 200MB on the webConnect Data Plan Lite. That’s a nice option — and $120 a year less than competing light plans — but I’d “Let It Be” and go for the $49.99 deal for the full 5GB of mobile broadband.
Update: T-Mobile provided photos of the actual Fender Limited Edition device, which now appear below.
