Warner Bros. Entertainment is putting mobile higher on the agenda by hiring Natalie Farsi to head mobile business efforts. Farsi will report to Brett Bouttier, SVP, Digital, Warner Bros. Television Group, and to Andy Mellett, SVP, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. Previously, she was SVP, mCommerce & content, for Fox Mobile Entertainment, responsible for Fox Mobile Studios and the consumer entertainment service. That was during the Mobizzo era. She’s been consulting for Warner Bros. since 2007; this position was created to bring her in full time because they are increasing the focus on mobile.
It’s not the first time Warner Bros. has tried a wireless push — examples include Billy Wright’s stint as VP & GM of global wireless from 2005-2007.
