By Chris Tryhorn: The car buying website motors.co.uk has struck deals with three regional newspaper groups to extend its reach to another 40 local papers.
The deal with Iliffe Media, Berkshire Media Group and Baylis Media will increase the site’s coverage by 19 percent and bring its service to papers such as the Cambridge News and the Reading Chronicle.
Under the deal, the three groups will feature the motors.co.uk used car search on their local websites and in the motoring supplements of their print titles.
Motors.co.uk, which is owned by the Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) & General Trust, is the second-largest UK used-car classified site.
The market leader is Auto Trader, which is owned by Guardian Media Group.
