For the past two years, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) has promised to bring its AdSense experience to mobile. Up to now, the search giant has come up short, but Google says that was more of a limitation of the cell phone market. But as more consumers are turning to the iPhone, Blackberry and Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre and Google’s own Android, the company says it’s ready to offer enhanced ad space to publishers and marketers. In a post on the Google Blog, the company says its ads will now resemble the PC to a greater extent. The new AdSense feature uses a new JavaScript snippet that will allow publishers to run larger ads. Previously, AdSense mobile publishers were only eligible to serve smaller text and image ads on their website content. Apart from better technology being available, Google will still have a tougher time replicating its dominance on mobile as it faces a host of other challengers from mobile ad nets.
