Today in Connected Consumer

Back in 2004 when Comcast was hot for the mouse-house, my feelings then were as they are now about such a deal: not a good idea. I can understand Comcast wanting more original content to fill its pipes, but at the end of the day, total control of the end-user is what matters for a service provider. So now, hearing about the cable giant’s interest in NBC Universal, it makes me wonder if Chairman Brian Roberts content-company lust is getting in the way of what’s really best for the company. In my mind, a much better use for the company’s money would be an acquisition of Sprint.
