Online video job interviewing service HireVue has raised an undisclosed amount of first round funding. Peterson Ventures led the round, with participation from Penn State’s The Garber Fund, and other private investors. The company will use the funding for tech, marketing and new management hires.

Founded in 2004, companies like *Google*, *Oracle* and *Dish* Network have used HireVue’s video interviewing service; employers can store and share candidate videos, as well as do live-streamed video conferences. The company says the number of video interviews on its network have increased by more than 500 percent in the past 12 months. L.A.-based startup GotCast offers a similar service for TV and film companies looking to cast talent, with an added crowd-sourcing component. Release.
