Industry Moves: AOP Appoints Director; Silicon Valley Bank Europe Chief; Match.com MD Leaving

AOP director: The Association of Online Publishers has chosen Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) advertising executive Lee Baker as its new director, working with AOP co-chairs Alison Reay and Tim Faircliff. The trade body poached him from Microsoft’s UK ad department where he was a commercial lead responsible for overseeing regional and global deals; before that Baker was European biz dev director for Lycos UK. Silicon Valley Bank VC group Silicon Valley Bank has appointed former Royal Bank of Scotland commercial banking chief Phil Cox as its head of operations in Europe and Israel. Cox will lead SVB’s UK and Israel offices and will be charged with growing the business there. Release.

Match.com: The dating site’s MD Jason Stockwood has left the business after three years in charge to spend more times on various non-executive director positions. Former Lastminute.com exec Stockwood joined Match in 2007 and became UK MD, making him responsible for parent company Meetic and its other subsidiary Dating Direct. From Revolution.
