MeLLmo, a mobile app development firm, has raised $4 million in what it’s calling a second round of angel funding. MeLLmo didn’t disclose the investors, but said it would use the money for sales and business development. The San Diego-based startup has raised a total of $10 million since its inception in January 2008.
Its first product is called Roambi, an iPhone app that uses data from spreadsheets and reports to create interactive displays. The Roambi app supports content from Salesforce, Excel, CSV files and HTML tables, among other sources. Users can share their displays securely, and there are small business and enterprise versions of the app. Co-founder Santiago Becerra, a former Booz Allen & Hamilton consultant, previously founded Graphical Information, which he sold to Oracle in 1998.
