T-Mobile USA has decided not to charge $1.50 a month for those who still want to receive a paper bill in the mail, AP reports.
The policy was expected to go into effect last weekend, because of negative feedback from customers and the threat of legal action, T-Mobile has decided not to implement the fee “for now.” The wireless carrier received a warning from New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, who wrote in a statement that the company couldn’t impose new charges without allowing customers to end their service contracts early. “My office will not sit back and let a company change its prices under the guise of “going green,'” he said.
