– MySpace: The News Corp-owned social network is parting ways with its head of UK sales Nick Reid, who leaves at the end of October after three years. There’s no word on where the ex-Emap man is headed, but the departure is not thought to be linked to July’s restructure that saw two thirds of MySpace’s international staff leave the company, including international MD Travis Katz. — Discovery: Dee Forbes, currently Turner Broadcasting’s general manager for UK and Ireland, has been appointed MD and EVP of Discovery Networks UK, replacing Dan Brooke, who left in January. Forbes starts her in the new year. In addition to looking after Discovery’s 12 pay TV channels in the UK, she will be responsible for the forthcoming Freeview channel Quest. From C21media.net.
— CBS: The broadcaster is re-branding six UK channels later this year and has appointed former CBS (NYSE: CBS), Paramount and NBCU exec Reed Manville as EVP of international channels to oversee them. CBS is re-launching the channels in partnership with Liberty Global subsidiary Chellomedia — and it was Manville’s consultancy firm that sealed the deal. Via C21Media.net.
