Sprint (NYSE: S) has launched a new $70 price plan that allows subscribers to talk to anyone on a cellphone without using their plan’s minutes. In other words, this expands what we consider “in-network” calling today to all U.S. carriers.
The news was first reported as a tip by TechVi, but the offer went live today on Sprint’s web site here. For some time, Sprint has been offering an unlimited voice and data plan for $99 a month. With this offer, subscribers pay $70 a month for 450 voice minutes, unlimited data, text and MMS messages. They also get to call any other cell phone on T-Mobile, Verizon (NYSE: VZ), or AT&T (NYSE: T) without using plan minutes. It also comes with access to Sprint TV, GPS navigation and other content from NFL and Nascar.
