FremantleMedia Enterprises: The London-based prodco has plucked Mel Alcock from digital agency iCrossing to be its new CEO for EMEA. His job is to look after the company’s core markets in the UK, France and Germany while developing the business in Turkey, Greece, the Middle East and Africa. Alcock was previously SVP of commercial affairs at Disney-owned Jetix in Europe. Via C21Media.net

Havas Media: The French communications group has appointed Fredda Hurwitz as global strategic planning director for its global sports and entertainment division. Hurwitz was formerly MD of creative agency Cunning UK. From Media Week.

EMI: The major label has appointed former AOL (NYSE: TWX) and Setanta marketing executive Timothy Ryan as SVP for catalogue marketing, overseeing the promotion of the company’s prized back catalogue which includes Beatles, Beach Boys and David Bowie albums. From Brandrepublic.com.
